1Who can become a vendor or list their business in our local directory?
- If you are a small business that sells products that are made in South Africa, then you are welcome to apply to become a vendor or list your business in our directory.
- Products must be designed and manufactured locally, but raw materials may originate from abroad.
2What is the difference between a vendor and a business listed in our Local Directory?
- A vendor is someone who wishes to sell products on our marketplace.
- A listing in the Local Directory is a business that does not utilise our market to sell products, but to rather advertise their local business. Your landing page will display details on what your business offers, a few images, your logo, contact details and links to your website and social media handles.
3What can I sell on We R Local?
- Any products that are designed and locally made.
- Products that are not allowed to be sold on We R Local include:
- Finished imported goods
- Products which infringe copyright
- Adult content and pornographic items
- Illegal, hazardous or dangerous Items
- Human or Animal parts
- Alcohol
- Nicotine, E-cigarettes and E-liquid
- Pills, herbal remedies
4How do I apply to become a vendor?
- Click on the Apply to Sell on the website and complete the form.
- We will then review your application and get back to you within 7 working days.
- Once approved, final documentation will need to be completed and you will need to submit the necessary information and images.
5What does it cost to become a vendor?
- There are no registration fees.
- A month-to-month contract, with a one-month calendar notice.
- There is a minimal commission levied on sales, which constitutes an admin fee and a payment processing fee.
- Monthly subscription packages are from as little as R149 per month, payable by monthly debit order.
6How do I know when I have an order?
You will receive an email from We R Local notifying you that you have an order to fulfill.
7How do I process the order?
In the email sent notifying you of the order, all details required to process and ship the order will be included.
8How do I get paid?
Depending on the package selected, you will either get paid:
- Weekly
- OR twice a month, on the 15th and last day of the month. If the 15th or last day of the month falls on a public holiday or weekend, payments will be made on the next working day.
